Bote Celtic Folk Musicians
Contribution to the ShowWe are very privileged to have included Bote's powerful track, Banks of Newfoundland, in our Beltane 2009 Holiday Special, SP11. BiographyBote is a five piece original folk rock set based out of the greater Upstate, SC. With a diverse lineup of members with many differing backgrounds, the band spans many genre and utilises its unique sound to please crowds of all ages. Bote is best described as folk-rock/celtic/fusion with hints of reggae, blues, rockabilly, and funk mixed in. Many different bands have influenced all of our members, and the end result is a solid mix of everything and anything you'd hear from hundreds of different musicians, past and present. With dueling guitars and solid rhythm, combined with melodic songs and powerful vocals, Bote is a solid tribute to both past, present, and [ideally] future folk songs and social issues. Whether it's reeling to Tim Finnegan's Wake or waltzing through slow, rolling ballads like Harbour LeCou, Bote gives individual attention to each song we address and play live or in the studio. Our debut album, Work and Worry, is now available directly through the band's websites and highlights a more modern acoustic folk/pop sound as a whole, although there's a good mix of about everything in our unplugged guitars too. Our live show tends to merge into a more powerfully electric showpiece, however, and we play songs that everyone knows, and most everyone loves. We also write our own material, the highlight of our shows being our regular closing number "All Day Long." We hope you enjoy what you hear and give a listen to more of our upcoming live cuts and, again, hopefully our follow up sophomore studio project.
AlbumsBote will have 1 album available.
