We are incredibly privileged to have Andy as a Contributor to the show. He tells stories that are alive in his family today and that have come down through the ages. The first of his tales, Anait: Queen of the Shee in Alba can be heard in our Imbolg 2009 Holiday Special, SP09. His powerful poem Beara, Queen O' Alba appears in our Spring Equinox 2009 Holiday Special, SP10 and The Sleep of Angus Og appears in the Midsummer 2009 Holiday Special, SP12.

Biography

I am 62 years old and I was born in Dunure Scotland. I left school at the age of 15 -my family are the oldest in the village of Dunure. It has five streets, and is a fishing village. My Mother was from Devon, my Father from Dunure, but my ancestors come from Arran on the west cost of Scotland.

I was Initiated into Gardnerian Wicca 36years ago, as was my wife Helen. We run the house of the Rowan, and have for 30 years.

We are a Celtic coven, and follow the ways of our Ancestors and of the Gael. I have designed a pack of Tarot cards baste on Celtic mythology; I speak on Tarot, Celtic Mythology in Scotland, and on Fiona Macleod (William Sharp) and on W.B. YEATS and co.

The old Legends are a passion and a Joy, and the writings of Fiona Macleod are inspiration, in all I do.

I have been a Head gardener of 31 years for large house, and still working. I see the years come and go from spring to winner, and love it all.

I retell the old stories.
